For The Future Ghana’s Children are said to be the future, involving children in any form of work is frowned upon in most parts of the world. However, in Ghana, as many as 1 out of every 5 children are said to be involved in some form of child labor.
This is compounded by the high numbers of orphans, abandoned, and street children in Ghana. With increasing poverty and economic challenges brought on by the recent pandemic, child labor is projected to rise steeply. According to estimates from UNICEF, there are over a million orphans currently in Ghana with less than 1% of them living in orphanages. This has led to overcrowding in the few orphanages available to these vulnerable children. Most orphanages in Ghana serve as waiting places for these children rather than as a permanent solution to their challenges The United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal 8.7 aims to eradicate forced labor, end modern slavery and human trafficking, and secure the prohibition and elimination of the worst forms of child labor by 2025. SDG 3 and 4 aim to ensure good health and well-being and ensure inclusive and equitable quality education for all respectively

FTF Ghana aims to help achieve these goals by creating a refuge and an eco-friendly community for underprivileged children who usually fall prey to forms of child labor.
We will increase access to education and health, provide child support and create a safe enabling environment for children to grow.
Our proposed eco-friendly village will help combat the threat our society faces from a large number of orphans and abandoned children, child labor, and climate change by focusing on childhood education, healthcare, and protection in a serene and enabling environment that promotes innovation for vulnerable children.
Helping vulnerable Ghanaian children with the Eco-village
Our eco-friendly village will be located on a five-acre land which is set in the lush, green ridges of Adukrom-Aprebi in the Eastern region of Ghana. It aims to provide a natural environment that promotes not only the physical but mental and social development of vulnerable children.

Our Eco-friendly community will help our children connect with nature and also ensure the sustainability and prosperity of the community through self-sustaining measures. Our developers will make use of local and eco-friendly materials in building communities.
About FTF Ghana
For The Future village is the flagship project of FTF, a non-governmental organization in Ghana founded by Miss Kezia Asiedua Sanie.
The mission of FTF is to nurture disadvantaged children into ethical leaders and adults who can make a difference in their communities irrespective of their social backgrounds.
FTF was founded in 2016 by a group of well-meaning and motivated young Ghanaians, to give underprivileged children the chance to reach their full potential.
The team has participated in numerous charitable events all over the country and has established a strong media presence for advocacy on childhood-related issues.

FTF Ghana has amongst other activities renovated a school block, donated teaching and learning materials to numerous less endowed schools across the country.
Through our Student Training and Educational Project (STEP), we currently have ten (10) children under our care ranging from the ages of 2 to 15. Before our intervention, many of them were living under harsh conditions which no access to quality education and healthcare.
Our ShareAid initiative has also distributed educational, recreational, and personal hygiene items to underprivileged children. We have partnered with SchoolInaBag, a UK-based organization that helped us send school bags filled with educational resources to underprivileged children.
Another international partner, Youths MAP from the USA helped provide guidance and support to our youth to develop talented youth professionals through a wide range of mentoring programs.
To introduce our children to recent technological advancements, we partnered with Asustem Robotics to provide robotics lessons for our children to help groom their interest in science, technology, engineering, maths, and team building.
FTF Ghana has also leveraged a partnership with ChessInSlums to teach vulnerable children how to develop their problem-solving and critical thinking skills through the game chess.
FTF Ghana has so far been providing services to needy children with the help of benevolent individuals and donations from corporate groups.
